Quote of the day

You know it is the season of buying gifts and I ran across this quote this morning and thought about a friend of mine who lives like this:

"Often people attempt to live their lives backwards; they try to have more things, or more money, in order to do more of what they want, so they will be happier. The way it actually works is the reverse. You must first be who you really are, then do what you need to do, in order to have what you want. " ~Margaret Young

One day they will find out that all along they had everything they ever needed in life.
Some things they let slip through their fingers and if they had only looked they would have seen the answer to their questions in their friends.

We need to be thankful for everything we have this season and look at the joy that surrounds us in the little things.
A hug from a child.
Frozen dew on the grasss crunching under your shoes.
A bird singing in the cold air.

We are surrounded by gifts each day.

I wish you love and the ability to see the things around you , gifts given freely.
